SARMAX HFC 46
SARMAX HFC 46 is a high quality fire resistant hydraulic fluid blended with polyalkylene glycols in a stable water solution. The formulation includes special chemical additives to inhibit the formation of rust in the system, and provide anti-wear properties. The excellent shear stability and high viscosity index make the product ideal for hydraulic systems subject to long term extremes of temperature and operating conditions.
Description
Hydraulic equipment used near molten metal, flames or hot surfaces has to be fire resistant, and SARMAX HFC 46 is recommended for use in pressure die casting machines, extruders, presses, furnace flipping devices, forge presses and hammers, glass works, smelting and coking plants.
Water based hydraulic oils are not compatible with mineral oils and the changeover from one to another should be undertaken with care. Further information on material and elastomer compatibility, system design, change over procedure and recommendations when changing to SARMAX HFC 46 can be requested through our Technical Service Department.
